The river as subject
A historical drawing series following the Rhône’s untamed banks through blue ink, paper and changing light.
Made around the Rhône’s banks at Saint-Jean, the work follows water, vegetation and shifting light through a disciplined blue line. Across A3 and A2 sheets, close observation meets a wider landscape rhythm.

A record of place and process.
The series
Rhône Sauvage records a sustained encounter with the riverbanks at Saint-Jean — an archive of looking rather than a fixed landscape.
Materials and scale
Montblanc Royal Blue ink is worked on paper in A3 and A2 formats. Larger compositions use a broad Tibetan nib to extend the line’s physical presence.
Archive status
This historical studio project is not presented as a current edition or an available work. Any future presentation is confirmed directly with the studio.
